This meal is everything I love - flavourful, frugal and simple to make. I've always wanted to make basil pasta but did not want to buy basil at the grocery store because I felt like it was a waste of money (herbs are so expensive!) and it was also a waste of plastic.
Fortunately, the sweet basil that I planted less than two months ago provided me with a bountiful of leaves and I love it so much! More than my thai basil actually because, for thai basil, it only taste good when you cook it with some sort of meat or seafood, which I don't always have on hand.
The ingredients for this dish is pretty basic and you might already have most of them in your pantry. If you love a bit MORE flavour in your pasta, I would suggest to grate in some Parmigiano Reggiano.
Hope you enjoy making this dish! Watch the video below:
2 Tablespoon of Olive Oil
Butter (according to your taste)
1-3 cloves of Garlic (depending on your taste)
A cup of Spaghetti Pasta
Salt & Pepper to taste
2 Tablespoon of Grated Parmigiano Reggiano (optional)
A handful of Sweet Basil
