New Year, New Money Goals

This year, on top of doing my monthly expenses in my spreadsheet, I am going to write monthly budget breakdowns to keep track of my personal expenses. I think I’ll be able to control my expenses when I am more aware of my spendings. Last year, my expenses added up to be almost RM40,000. GASPPP Why am I spending more and more each year??

I wasn’t being wise with my money - RM2000 was even used to spend on under eye fillers and I only realise now that it was such a waste.

It feels so good to start a new spreadsheet!

My goal is to reduce my expenses to RM30,000 or less this year and I hope I’ll be able to stick to to this amount. Other change from my income will be for savings for my house and cash savings for emergencies. There will be changes in 2019 and I might even have leave Cyberjaya to move to PJ for a new job opportunity..I’m not particularly fond of that idea because I’ve grown attached to Cyberjaya and I also know that I won’t be able to find an apartment that is as good and as affordable as mine..I’ll probably have to move in with housemates again. On the other hand, I’ll be able to reach my goal in time if I pursue this opportunity. SIGH. I am in a dilemma.

My family is going to travel to Greece and Rome this year and I don’t think I’ll be able to go..Even though I don’t have to pay for accommodation, transportation and food, the flight ticket alone and spending money for miscellaneous stuff is a lot. I have to make my decision by the end of this heart says YES but my bank account wants to hoard money :(

Another money related news. My BigPay card finally arrived! I signed up for it at the end of November but the picture of my IC got rejected the first time and I finally got round to properly submitting it at the end of December. I'm going to write a separate post on this. If you haven't got one, all you have to do is sign up on the mobile app and we both can get free RM10 if you use my code 0A4ZJEEBP2

In Conclusion:

Post up monthly budget breakdowns

To spend only RM30,000 or less in 2019

Decide if I want to travel with my family or not
