The month of May, in Sabah, means Harvest Festival! Unduk Ngadau Pageants, abundant Kadazan foods and happy people drinking. My timeline has been flooded with pictures of Unduk Ngadau 2015 contestants and I kinda miss putting my traditional costume on. I'm terrible at pageants (I can remember lots of embarrassing moments being the clumsy person I am) but one cannot deny the glamour of being dolled up. I guess that now I'm considered too 'old' to join this.. woe is me. Well, I've never been good at talking on stage, I tend to panic and say the most ridiculous things, sometimes I think I even seem conceited. Oops. *monkey closes eye emoticon*
Anyways, since I don't see any special occasion in the near future for me to actually put it on again (unless someone close gets married or I get married haha) I would like to share the above photo from last year, it was from the Unduk Ngadau event of my previous hotel. I love this shot, thanks Ivan!
You can also see the DBKK Unduk Ngadau Gala Night that I had joined 5 years ago in 2010 - here :)
Can actually see how chubby my face used to be!
Ohhh I remember last my family has a Kadazan theme potluck! I wonder if we'll have it again this year. I can't wait to have me some tuhau, bambangan and especially hinava.
*On another note, I am still drafting part 2 of my Manila post so I'll post it up late this week or so.
