Turmeric & Leek Chicken Nicoise

Turmeric, or as we call it--Kunyit, is a taste that I've always associated with fish because I grew up eating steamed talapia fish cooked with kunyit. They are so yum! Simply delicious. And somehow that dish passed through my mind when I woke up at 7am this morning.. that means I was already thinking what to make for dinner when I barely even made breakfast. I had about an hour and a half to prepare my dish for dinner and at the same time have breakfast! But I didn't have any fish so I substituted with chicken when I remembered how chef thought us how to make Chicken Nicoise during our early kitchen practical classes *miss those days*.

Fast forward to dinner, trying to contain my drool because I wanted to take a nice photo of it. It was double kill this time: Turmeric & Leek Chicken Nicoise and Sweet & Sour Salad. Can't stop eating that salad.

I've been pretty busy these few days, with reports to pass up on top of classes, being elected as the first President of my college's Hospitality Club, planning an event for said Club, and going to classes as usual. I also got to spend more time with the housemates: we went jogging at the park and even had our own steamboat at home. It was yum. Anyways, I have to catch up with a lot of things.
